"You're not supposed to stay the same. Your relationships aren't supposed to stay the same. Your desires aren't supposed to stay the same. As you heal your relationship to everything changes. Don't worry if you are unrecognizable."

My job is to help you move towards your goals by building a safe therapeutic relationship, being a support and witness to your work, and offering tools and resources to increase your capacity for living a life that feels fulfilling and sustainable to you.

I am a sex-positive therapist who is supportive of and informed around kink and sex work.

My work is also informed by brilliant activists from the Fat Liberation, Disability Justice and Anti- Racism movements.

Therapeutically, I am guided by feminist therapy, narrative therapy, attachment theory, expressive arts and creative therapies, somatic and experiential practices that include Ecotherapy and integrative body/mind therapies such as mindfulness and Polyvagal Theory.

Some certifications and trainings that inform my work include:

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Washington and have a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with specialized graduate level training in Marriage, Couple and Family Counseling and  Ecopsychology/ Ecotherapy.

I am Level 3 Trained in Gottman Method Couple's Therapy and deeply value supporting relationships with this work.

I enjoy time writing and painting, knitting, baking, playing music and spending as much time as possible in the woods and on the water as I can.

I love the rain and the ocean and the mountains... so I am very grateful to live in the Pacific Northwest.

I acknowledge that I am an uninvited guest on the land of the Steh-Chass band of the Squaxin Island Tribe and Nisqually Indian Tribe who are the traditional custodians of the land on which I make my home.

Counseling can be a place where you have support in carrying what you have been trying to hold on your own. In our sessions my hope is to build a relationship that allows you to have a witness for whatever it is you are processing. A place where you can get feedback, and work through the steps for creating whatever change, growth and healing you are looking for in your life. My goal is to be with you for whatever part of your journey you share with me, and help to access the skills and insight you can take with you in what you are currently struggling with and for whatever lies ahead.

I love working with couples and various polyamorous relationships, as well as collectives, friendships and chosen family. My goal in supporting you in this work is to be a witness and ally in finding different tools and ways of communicating and co-regulating to create the relationships you desire.

I have completed Level 3 of The Gottman Method and utilize this evidence-based model to help my clients increase connection and intimacy and learn better ways to navigate conflict.

For couples/partners we begin with an 80 minute session with both partners, followed by individual 50 minutes sessions with each partner, and then another 80 minute session for feedback and treatment planning.

Moving forward we make a plan that works best for your needs. This may look like meeting weekly or biweekly, for 50 or 80 minute sessions.

We Are Animals

We are all a part of a number of systems, including our communities, family, cultures and sub-cultures. Another system that every one of us is a part of is the ecosystem, where, as animals, we are part of the living world.

In Ecotherapy, we look at our connection with and disconnection from the rest of nature. We ask how this disconnection might be affecting our mental, or emotional wellbeing. We also look at how our relationship with nature can offer us insight and coping tools for our own balance.

Ecotherapy is about relationships and systems, and can be both part of in-office therapy or even telehealth, or can take place outdoors.

In my practice Ecotherapy comes into our sessions as it makes sense for each individual client.

Many clients find healing benefits in just being outdoors during our sessions.  I hold several spots each week for walk/talk therapy in a park location in Olympia, WA.

Insurance companies will often reimburse for out-of-network providers. I am happy to provide you with a SuperBill for submitting to your insurer for reimbursement. I recommend clients check with their insurance provider about out-of-network reimbursement before relying on this method.

As of January 1, 2022, all healthcare providers are required to provide estimates of the costs of your care if you are paying out of pocket or if your provider is billing out of network. The Good Faith Estimate shows the cost of items and services reasonably expected for your healthcare needs and treatment. This office will provide this as requested. This Good Faith Estimate does not include unexpected costs that could arise during treatment.

As a mental health professional I am personally and professionally committed to donating 3% of my income to organizations run by and supporting QTBIPOC (Queer and Trans Black and Indigenous and People of Color.)

My private practice is also committed to serving queer and trans youth and young adults by offering sliding scale and pro-bono groups and workshops in collaboration with local community organizations. Please reach out if your organization would like more information.
