QUINN RUSSELL,

Creative and Collaborative Therapy for Navigating a Complex World
"You're not supposed to stay the same. Your relationships aren't supposed to stay the same. Your desires aren't supposed to stay the same. As you heal your relationship to everything changes. Don't worry if you are unrecognizable."
-Chani Nicholas

SERVICES I OFFER
INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING
Counseling can be a place where you have support in carrying what you have been trying to hold on your own. In our sessions my hope is to build a relationship that allows you to have a witness for whatever it is you are processing. A place where you can get feedback, and work through the steps for creating whatever change, growth and healing you are looking for in your life. My goal is to be with you for whatever part of your journey you share with me, and help to access the skills and insight you can take with you in what you are currently struggling with and for whatever lies ahead.
COUPLES AND RELATIONSHIP THERAPY
I love working with couples and various polyamorous relationships, as well as collectives, friendships and chosen family. My goal in supporting you in this work is to be a witness and ally in finding different tools and ways of communicating and co-regulating to create the relationships you desire.
I have completed Level 3 of The Gottman Method and utilize this evidence-based model to help my clients increase connection and intimacy and learn better ways to navigate conflict.
For couples/partners we begin with an 80 minute session with both partners, followed by individual 50 minutes sessions with each partner, and then another 80 minute session for feedback and treatment planning.
Moving forward we make a plan that works best for your needs. This may look like meeting weekly or biweekly, for 50 or 80 minute sessions.
ECOTHERAPY AND
WALK/ TALK THERAPY
We Are Animals
We are all a part of a number of systems, including our communities, family, cultures and sub-cultures. Another system that every one of us is a part of is the ecosystem, where, as animals, we are part of the living world.
In Ecotherapy, we look at our connection with and disconnection from the rest of nature. We ask how this disconnection might be affecting our mental, or emotional wellbeing. We also look at how our relationship with nature can offer us insight and coping tools for our own balance.
Ecotherapy is about relationships and systems, and can be both part of in-office therapy or even telehealth, or can take place outdoors.
In my practice Ecotherapy comes into our sessions as it makes sense for each individual client.
Many clients find healing benefits in just being outdoors during our sessions. I hold several spots each week for walk/talk therapy in a park location in Olympia, WA.
GROUP THERAPY
Groups for Winter 24-25
Coping Skills for Anxiety and Stress is an in-person, 8-week support group, on the Westside of Olympia from November 27, 2024 to January 29, 2025 (there will be a two week break at the end of December).
The aim of the group is to offer a space for guided processing through art, writing and external processing with other group members (always by choice.) We will use DBT skills, including mindfulness, and sensory tools, as well as writing and art prompts, to process current anxiety and stressors and explore some of the old stories that they are wired to.
The group will be small, with a max of 6 participants, and there will be lots of guided self work, with some space for sharing and discussion. Participants will receive an art/ writing journal for the activities and all art materials (and tea and hot cocoa) will be provided.
Sessions fees are charged weekly and the sliding scale for the group is $45-$75. Each participant is asked to look at the Fees page on this site and follow the link to the Green Bottle diagram for assistance in personally assessing where you fall on the sliding scale.
If you are interested in signing up please email quinnshannonrussell@gmail.com and we will set up a brief video chat to assess if this group is a good fit!
Feel free to email with any questions.

INSURANCE REIMBURSEMENT
Insurance companies will often reimburse for out-of-network providers. I am happy to provide you with a SuperBill for submitting to your insurer for reimbursement. I recommend clients check with their insurance provider about out-of-network reimbursement before relying on this method.
GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE
As of January 1, 2022, all healthcare providers are required to provide estimates of the costs of your care if you are paying out of pocket or if your provider is billing out of network. The Good Faith Estimate shows the cost of items and services reasonably expected for your healthcare needs and treatment. This office will provide this as requested. This Good Faith Estimate does not include unexpected costs that could arise during treatment.
